New U.S. Presidents Picture Game on ExamGiant

Image
I just created a new video showing another civics and government game on ExamGiant: U.S. Presidents - Picture. This game gives students a chance to practice recognizing U.S. presidents by their pictures. That makes it a useful way to build familiarity with American history and leadership in a more visual and interactive format. Many students may learn the names of presidents in school, but recognizing them by picture adds another level of understanding. It helps connect names to real historical figures and can make history feel more concrete and memorable. In my video, I walk through how the U.S. Presidents Picture game works inside ExamGiant and show how students can use it for practice. I think this kind of game is valuable because it helps students strengthen both recognition and recall. It is one thing to memorize a list of names. It is another thing to be able to identify important people by sight and connect them to what students are learning in civics and history. My goal ...

New Civics and Government Games on ExamGiant

Image
I just created a new video showing the current civics and government games on ExamGiant. Right now, this part of ExamGiant includes two game types: Civics and Government Number - President Name The Civics and Government game also includes three difficulty levels: Citizen Representative President! I like this because it gives students different ways to grow in their knowledge. A student can start at a simpler level and then work up to more advanced questions over time. That makes the game useful for practice, review, and building confidence. Civics and government are important because students should understand how their country works. Learning about the Constitution, amendments, rights, government structure, and other civics topics can help students become more informed, more thoughtful, and better prepared for adult life. The presidential game adds another useful skill. Students can practice matching the number of a president with the correct name. That is a fun and direct way t...

New World Map Geography Games on ExamGiant

Image
I just created a new video showing two new world map geography games on ExamGiant. These games help students practice identifying countries in two different ways. In one game, students see a country name and then have to find and select that country on the map. In the other game, a country is selected on the map and the student has to choose the correct country name. One feature I especially like is that students are not stuck looking at only one part of the world. If the map is showing one region, such as South America, they can move the map to another area, like Asia, and keep exploring. They can also zoom in and zoom out, which makes it easier to work with countries of different sizes and locations. That makes the game more realistic and more useful, because learning world geography is not just about memorizing names. It is also about becoming comfortable with where countries are located and how they fit into the larger map of the world. In my video, I walk through both of the...

New US Map Practice Games on ExamGiant

Image
I just created a new video showing the new US map practice games on ExamGiant. These games help students learn US states in an interactive way. Instead of only memorizing a list, students work directly with the shapes and names of the states. That makes the learning more visual, more active, and often more memorable. There are currently three map-based US state games: A mode where students see a picture of a US state and choose the correct name A mode where students see the name of a US state and choose the correct state on the map A flexible mode where students can choose whichever direction they want I think this is important because students should know the states, not just as words on a page, but as places on a map. That kind of geographic knowledge can help with school, travel, history, government, and general understanding of the country. In my video, I show how these games work and how students can practice identifying states in different ways. One thing I like about these...

New Geography Practice on ExamGiant: States and Capitals and Countries and Capitals

Image
I just created a new video showing the current geography practice games on ExamGiant. Right now, the geography section includes two games: States and Capitals Countries and Capitals These are simple topics, but they are still very useful. Knowing states and capitals is important because it helps students build a stronger understanding of the United States. It can help with schoolwork, maps, history, government, travel, and general knowledge. Even for adults, knowing the states and their capitals is one of those skills that continues to be useful over time. Countries and capitals may not come up in daily life as often for everyone, but they are still a great way to build world knowledge. They can help students understand geography better, connect places to world events, and become more familiar with the wider world. That kind of knowledge can be helpful in school and also just makes a person more informed. In my video, I walk through both of these geography games and show how they...

New Science Practice on ExamGiant: Chemical Names and Formulas

Image
I just created a new video showing the current science practice game on ExamGiant: Chemical Names and Formulas. Right now, this is the first science game available in the practice section, and it focuses on an important chemistry skill: connecting chemical names with their correct formulas. This kind of practice can help students become more comfortable recognizing compounds, remembering scientific notation, and building a stronger foundation in chemistry. Chemistry often feels difficult at first because students are learning a new language of symbols, names, and patterns. A game like this can make that process more approachable by turning repeated practice into something quicker and more interactive. In my video, I walk through the Chemical Names and Formulas game and show how it works inside ExamGiant. One thing I like about this type of practice is that it helps students develop familiarity through repetition. The more often students see chemical names and formulas together, t...

New Spelling and Hangman Games on ExamGiant

Image
I just created a new video showing two more English practice games on ExamGiant: Spelling and Hangman. These games are designed to help students build vocabulary, improve spelling, and stay engaged while practicing important language skills. The Spelling game includes words from Grade 1 all the way through Grade 10. It also includes National Spelling Bee words, and hundreds of thousands of additional words that are not yet assigned to a grade level. One feature I am especially excited about is that students and parents can help improve the system over time. If a word seems like it belongs in a different grade, they can click and tell me what grade level it should be in. Another helpful feature is pronunciation support. If the computer voice does not sound right for a word, students or parents can click and let me know, and I can replace it with a human voice. That means the game is not just a fixed system. It can keep getting better with feedback. At the end of each spelling word, stud...
