Why Memory Matters: ExamGiant’s Musical Circles Memory Game
I just created a new video showing one of the games I personally think is the most important on ExamGiant: the Musical Circles Memory Game.
Right now, students can practice in two active modes:
- Sights and Sounds
- Sight Only
I think memory is one of the most important foundations for learning. When students remember more of what the teacher says, more of what they read, and more of what they practice, school becomes easier. Homework can feel less overwhelming, class can make more sense, and students can build confidence faster.
This is not just my opinion. Research has shown that memory is closely connected to school performance. One study published in Learning and Individual Differences reported that “working memory predicted math and reading performance on all tasks.” Source: PMC article and PubMed record.
That does not mean memory is the only thing that matters, but it does mean memory is a very important part of learning well.
In this game, students watch and remember a sequence, then try to repeat it correctly. It is simple, but that simplicity is part of what makes it useful. Students are practicing focus, recall, and mental control in a direct way.
In my video, I explain how the game works and why I believe strong memory can make such a big difference in a student’s learning career.
One thing I especially like about this game is that it does not depend heavily on English, advanced vocabulary, or subject knowledge. It focuses much more directly on memory itself. That makes it different from many academic games and gives students another way to strengthen an important learning skill.
My goal with ExamGiant is not just to help students answer questions, but to help them build the mental tools that make learning easier. Memory is one of those tools, and that is why I believe this game is so valuable.
More ExamGiant videos and more learning tools are on the way.
